James Horwill and Will Genia will play their last games in Brisbane for the Reds tomorrow night. I give them a massive chance of beating the Chiefs, too. Image: QRU Media Unit
ABC Grandstand Digital: Another great rugby chat on Grandstand Breakfast this morning with Andrew Mayes, in which we cover off all the massive games coming over the weekend.
Starting with the Hurricanes-Highlanders tonight in Napier, to the Force-Brumbies in Perth, to Reds-Chiefs in Brisbane tomorrow night, and the Cheetahs-Waratahs in Bloemfontein in the early hours of Sunday morning, there are big games everywhere. It’s a cracking round of action to come..
Nothing went right for the Chiefs against the Hurricanes last weekend, and now they face a chronic Lock shortage..
ESPNscrum.com: Round 14 of Super Rugby was dominated by discussion and debate of officialdom, and colleague Greg Growden was bang on the money on Monday, saying the referees have a hard time of it while ever the Laws and the interpretations have made everything the complicated mess the game now is.

ABC Grandstand: Chris Coleman and I wrapped up all the overnight results this morning on Grandstand Breakfast this morning, including the Waratahs ending the Hurricanes’ unbeaten start to the season, the Rebels’ first ever win in Canberra, and the Reds ending their eight-game losing street, with a one-point win over the Cheetahs Bloemfontein..

ABC Grandstand Digital: There’s no two ways about it, this was a shocking round for Super Rugby tipsters, and Matt Hill and I went through what felt like an endless stream of upsets this morning on Grandstand Breakfast.
All four of the Australian sides to play in Round 9 lost, including the Waratahs’ shock loss to the Stormers in Sydney last night. With the Brumbies having lost to the Blues on Friday night in Auckland, this was a massive missed opportunity for the ‘Tahs.
Of course, the biggest talking point on the Grandstand rugby chat now is the building tipping rivalry between Al Crombie and myself. Fair to say we both took a battering this weekend, with Al’s lucky guess of the Blues the only different this weekend..
