Full ball, going back, no shot offered… Not Out! And the eternal DRS debate continues…
With Hendo, The Bear, and former New Zealand quick Iain O’Brien, another cracking Lunch break discussion ensured on Guerilla Cricket on Day 5 in Adelaide.
Covering off the inevitable topic of DRS – and why it’s good and bad, and the ideal world use of it – as well as the standing of David Warner, future Australian captains, and even a bit of trans-Tasman accent mockery (“see if it putched and hut un line”), it’s all here in the clip below.

Steve Smith’s lovely salute on reaching his hundred, just after Lunch on Day 2 in Adelaide…
With the morning session stagnated by rain breaks on Day 2 in Adelaide, the Guerilla Cricket often found themselves ‘padding’ through periods of no play. With Lunch taken early, and a highlights package completed, I came to the guys’ aid as play resumed after the break.
But not for long, admittedly. We were able to talk Steve Smith through to his hundred, and Australia’s total to 408 (Phillip Hughes’ Test number), but with Michael Clarke batting again and on 97 not out, the rain returned.
So here’s the Lunch chat with the Guerilla gang, and here’s hoping this rain does finally clear..

Great to be back talking with the Guerilla Cricket guys again, who are back on board for the Australia-India series this summer. Here’s the Lunch chat from Day 1 in Adelaide, with Australia in a good spot at 2/113 (or 113/2, for the rest of the world – we discussed Australia’s insistence on being different with how we present cricket scores).

Guerrilla Cricket – the original (but renamed) alternate cricket commentary!
Guerilla Cricket: From the ashes of Test Match Sofa, a new alternate cricket commentary has emerged…. comprising pretty much the same people, and doing pretty much the same thing 😉
And happily, they want me back! The First Test between Pakistan and Australia commences tonight from 5:00 AEDT, and the guys have invited me to join them in the Lunch break between 7:00pm and 7:40pm AEDT.
You can hear their coverage via guerillacricket.com OR you can get them through the specialist TuneIn Radio app right here on BMcSport! (Look! To the right!)
Really looking forward to yackin’ with the Sofa gang again, it was great fun last time…
