Force - Lance pre-season

Western Force recruit Jono Lance in pre-season mode. Can he be the spark to finally get their backline firing?

Rugby News: Not to be confused with the magazine of the same name, is Australia’s most trusted source of independent rugby news across all levels of the game. In my debut column, I’ve named five players around the country ready to make their mark on Super Rugby, after starring on the club scene and particularly in the National Rugby Championship in recent seasons..

After two injury-plagued seasons, the former Reds, Waratahs and Western Force-bound midfielder is loving being out on the park and playing again, particularly at a time of the year where he traditionally would have been getting stuck into pre-season training.

And he’s playing bloody well, for the record. His feel for the game and his vision hasn’t suffered for the time out of the game, and his goal-kicking in the 2015 NRC has been solid. If the Eagles reach the semis again this season, Lance will have been a major factor..
